Jane is the Director/Owner/Teacher of Kohl Academy of Performing Arts and The Dancewear Shop in Guntersville. She began her early dance training in New Orleans ad earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Theatre from Louisiana State University (now the University of New Orleans). She received her certification to teach from the Dance Masters of America, an international organization of teachers certified by test, and is a graduate Dance Masters of America Teachers Training School. She is an Executive Board Member of The Whole Backstage Community Theatre in Guntersville, Past President of Dance Masters of America Mid-South Chapter #41, and a Past Delegate to the Dance Masters National Board of Directors. She is currently a member of Dance Masters of America, Chapter #33. Jane is a Director/Choreographer for major productions at The Whole Backstage Community Theatre, such as 42nd Street and Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Jane has received The Whole Backstage Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the community theatre.
